1 out of 170 Americans misuses them. 115 Americans die from an overdose every day

Bisoma acupuncture can address the opioid crisis, which is plaguing patients with chronic pain. Having no good alternative, physicians are reluctantly prescribing opioid pain reducers beyond the recommended period of 3 days to 3 weeks. When taken beyond this window of time, the potential for addiction exponentially rises. The doctors were instructed to prescribe the lowest effective dose for the shortest period needed, when treating acute pain. But its addictive nature is keeping many in hostage. 1 out of 170 Americans misuses them. 115 Americans die from an overdose every day, and hundreds more go to the emergency room. Commonly prescribed opioids include oxycodone, fentanyl, buprenorphine, methadone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone, codeine, and morphine. Heroin is an illegal form of the drug.
Only with five Horary points, Bisoma acupuncture is a rescue for many in opioid bondage. It can immediately and easily reduce the symptoms of drug withdrawal. Acupuncture quickly helps the brain to re-establish homeostasis. The major advantage of Bisoma acupuncture is its simplicity of having only two choices. Regardless of the type of drug dependency, one of these two sets of Horary points works on an individual because these are constitutional points.
For 70% of population |

For 30% of population |
GB44, SI2, ST43, LI5, and UB40 |
One set is constitutional for 70% of population and the other set for 30%. Either of these two sets are ingrained in an individual from birth through lifetime. It takes only 1 to 4 visits to experience a significant relief. Acupuncture visits at 2 or 3 times a week, the improvement is weekly with lessened intensity, frequency, and duration.
Let’s give a case study as an example. A male, age 23, was involved in a severe car accident 6 years ago. He had multiple broken bones, necessitating an extensive corrective surgery. He suffered pain in his lower back, bilateral sciatica nerves, right arm, and left leg. The pain was constant at a minimum level of 6/10. It was easily aggravated with small amount of physical exertion. Additional lack of sleep at 2 to 3 hours per night had rendered him physically exhausted and mentally out of sort. His chronic pain made it difficult to discontinue using opioid medications. Rather, he resorted to using heroin because his pains were not controlled, and the doctor couldn’t continue prescribing opioids. He was admitted to a drug detoxification center. Seeing that he was still suffering gravely, his mother brought him in to my clinic for a possible solution.
On the first visit, he was given Bisoma acupuncture on the right-side with Yang Horary points in Metal-Order of LI1 (Metal), UB66 (Water), GB41 (Wood), SI5 (Fire), and ST36 (Earth). He restfully slept for one hour. It was the first deep sleep in years. From then on, he had a definite weekly improvement in intensity, frequency, and duration. Both his mind and body felt clearer and stronger. After the 13th visit, he was able to exercise for more than one hour without aggravation. By the 18th visit, he reported having close to zero pain. He began weightlifting, which did not cause pain but built up his muscles. To him, it was a sign that he can move on and be constructive for his future.
This patient had a total of 27 acupuncture treatments in 4 months. The first two months were twice a week visit and thereafter once a week. Fortunately, acupuncture was quickly and drastically helpful. Encouraged, the continuation of acupuncture allowed for elimination of physical pain and mental addiction. Family and social support is crucial in providing mind and social support.
Only Horary points are sufficient. But addition of other acupuncture points can be even more helpful. Such are ear points and other Transporting Shu points. The above patient being a Soyangin (a constitution with Lesser Yang and Greater Yang combination, Pitta-Vata in Ayurveda, and Sanguine in Unani), the central Wood element points LI3 (Wood), SI3 (Wood), ST43 (Wood), and UB65 (Wood) were added to enhance the treatment efficacy.
Regardless of the type of opioid addiction, Bisoma acupuncture has a high potential for success when in conjunction with support from family, friends, and counselors.
