“He founded emperor’s College in 1983 and he was among the first generation of acupuncturists in the state of California that lobbied Governor Jerry Brown to regulate the practice of acupuncture in 1975.” The principal of the college said.
“He foresaw the need for Americans to achieve optimal health based on the natural principles of life.”
The college has worked to shape the future of medicine through the college’s efforts to integrate the best of Eastern and Western medicines by being the first among acupuncture schools that providing acupunctures treatments in hospital setting in Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital (LA, 1997). Also Emperor’s college began providing acupuncture services at the Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center at the University of California at Los Angeles, which became the first school in the UC system to offer acupuncture to its student body.
Also, the college clinic interns currently treat cancer patients at Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California. The college has also addressed the health disparities in LA by partnering with two nonprofit organizations, the Venice Family Clinic, the largest free clinic in US and Being Alive, a social services center for those with HIV.
The great Korean physician Lee, Ge Ma(1837-1900) said “One hundred years after I die, Sasang Constitutional Medicine will dominate the world. His prophecy is being realized.
