Taiji Acupuncture Points: Responding Points of Contradiction and Energy Sources of 12 Meridians

There are Three Taiji Acupuncture Points, and each Taiji Acupuncture Points are Representing the sky, earth, and human.

Basic Concept of Taiji Acupuncture Points.

Taiji is a source of every living thing on the earth. Likely, Taiji acupuncture points are fundamental energy sources of twelve meridians and have a role as the control tower of all twelve meridians. Taiji acupuncture points are located on the head where all eight extraordinary channels are Ren Mai, Yin Qiao, Du Mai, Yang Qiao, Dai Mai, Yang Wei, Chong Mai, Yin Wei Channel, joins except Dai Mai Channel. Dai Mai channel controls other extraordinary channel’s function. Therefore, Taiji acupuncture points take the role of responding points of the eight extraordinary channels and energy source of twelve meridians.

Taiji acupuncture points could be used for adding energy on a meridian, which is in deficiency and should be inserted at the end of the acupuncture needle inserting procedure with meridian control acupuncture technique. The procedure for using Taiji acupuncture points is using the Taiji points at the end of the acupuncture session and removing needles from the Taiji point first. There are exceptions. In cases using the Taiji points and either Ren or Du Mai, the Taiji points should be inserted first and removed at the end of the session.

 

Location of Taiji Acupuncture Points

▷Taiji Acupuncture points could be replaced by using Sishencong (ExHN 1,四神聰, Sashinchong(Korean))

① If you are not familiar with using the Taiji acupuncture point, Sashinchong could be used, instead.

② If a symptom is related to the earth meridian, use the frontest Sashinchong point. For a symptom that is related to the earth meridian, take side two of Sashinchong. In order to treat a symptom that is related to the sky meridian, use a back Sashinchong point.

③ Also, St 8 points are used to find hidden Taiji points that are related to the earth meridian. Likely, Gb 20 are used for locating hidden Taiji points that are related to the sky meridian.

 

Taiji point, the Earth meridian

① Draw an imaginary line from a frontal Sashingchong acupuncture point to St 8. In the center of the imaginary line, a hole could be detected by a practitioner’s fingertip. That is the location of a Taiji point of the earth meridian. There are two Taiji points on the imaginary line between frontal Sashinchong and St 8s.

② The right and left St 8 are also part of Taiji point of the earth meridian.

③ The right and left St 8s and right and left hole, which is located in between St 8 and frontal of Sashinchong, a total of 4 acupuncture points are considered as Taiji point of the earth meridian.

 

The Taiji Points, the Sky meridian

① Extend an imaginary line from the rear Shshinchong Acupuncture point to either right or left Gb 20. And find a hole in the middle of the imaginary line. Find the other side in the same way. Approximal point of the sky Taiji points are located on the right and left one cun of GV 17. There are in total of two sky Taiji points.

② And right and left Gv 20 are considered as sky Taiji points.

③ There are all four sky Taiji points on the back of the head.

 

Taiji Point, the human meridian

① There are 3~4 holes near Gb 8 ~Gb 10 on Gall bladder meridian. Select 2 obvious points.

② Find 2 other obvious points on the other side.

③ There are total of 4 points for Taiji point of human meridian.

 

How to Use Taiji point of the sky, the earth, and the human meridians.

① In the meridian controlling acupuncture technique, Taiji point are used for enhancing and boosting energies in each 12 meridians. But there are two exceptions: one is to balance upper and lower body energy and the other is to treat paralyzed body part due to stroke.

② Balancing acupuncture points can be used without interference treatment effect of Taiji points.

③ In order to treat chronic symptoms and energy deficient related symptoms, Taiji points should be inserted at the end of acupuncture needle inserting procedure with Balancing acupuncture points.

④ As a practitioner removing acupuncture needles, Taiji points are removed at the end.

⑤ There are acupuncture points selection for its purposes: acupuncture points which is located on the extremities controls energy flow by controlling speed of energy circulation. There are acupuncture points on the trunk are working as a pivot and Taiji points are acting as energy booster for 12 meridians.

⑥ Using Taiji points connect energy circulations that controlled by acupuncture needles on the head, the trunk and the extremities to enhance smoother energy circulation without interferences.
