The Horary points provide quick and long-lasting relief with the reliable treatment result

The prevalence of carpal tunnel syndrome is increasing due to the growing reliance on computers and phones. Common symptoms include hand and forearm numbness, tingling, and pain. Fortunately, an effective and straightforward acupuncture technique called Bisoma acupuncture can provide relief. This technique focuses on Horary points, requiring only two sets of five acupuncture points.
Bisoma acupuncture is characterized by its simplicity, utilizing Horary points for optimal results. Its benefits are rapid and long-lasting, promoting the healing of inflamed tendons and microtears around the wrist. Remarkably, after just 6 to 10 treatments, over 90% of patients report significant relief. By skillfully employing the precise Horary points in Bisoma acupuncture, you can establish yourself as a distinguished acupuncturist.
One of the key advantages of Bisoma acupuncture is its constitutional nature. These active points are inherently ingrained in two groups of people from birth throughout their lifetime. “Bi” signifies two, while “soma” refers to the body. The conveniently repeatable nature of these points makes them highly accessible for relieving carpal tunnel symptoms at any time.
The Bisoma acupuncture points, known as Horary points, derive their name from their association with the Five Elements. Each Horary point corresponds to a specific meridian and shares the same elemental characteristic. The five elemental points are located on the Transporting points of Well, Spring, Stream, River, and Water.
For Yang points, the Well point represents Metal, the Spring point represents Water, the Stream point represents Wood, the River point represents Fire, and the Sea point represents Water. By linking acupuncture points to these Transporting points, we can identify the elemental attributes of specific points. For instance, LI1 is a Metal-Well point, UB66 is a Water-Spring point, GB41 is a Wood-Stream point, SI5 is a Fire-River point, and ST36 is an Earth-Sea point.
These points are inherent in individuals from birth and remain relevant throughout their lives. Consequently, these acupuncture points remain effective for addressing various issues individuals may encounter from childhood to old age.
However, a second group of individuals does not possess the standard Horary points in their conventional locations. Instead, their points align with the Yin points. Set 2 is called the Wood-Order because the Wood element originates from the Well point.
The efficacy of both sets of Horary points in providing quick and long-lasting relief is comparable to that of the Korean Saam Four Needle Technique. However, Bisoma acupuncture offers greater reliability compared to SAAM acupuncture.
Here’s a simplified three-step process for acupuncturists utilizing the Bisoma technique:
- Step 1: Choose one side of the body for treatment, regardless of whether it is ipsilateral or contralateral to the pain. Avoid administering bilateral treatments, as each side of the body operates independently based on the Metal-Order and Wood-Order principles.
- Step 2: Acupuncture, the Metal-Order Horary, points up to two times. Multiple treatments may be necessary since a larger proportion of the population falls under the Metal-Order category. If significant relief is achieved, continue the treatment until carpal tunnel syndrome is resolved or significantly improved.
- Step 3: If the relief is mild or absent with the Metal-Order points, provide two treatments using the Set 2 Wood-Order Horary points on the same body side. The Wood-Order points should yield better pain reduction and increased range of motion. Proceed with the set that provides greater relief until the condition is resolved or significantly improved.
Over the past decade, acupuncturists employing the Bisoma technique have consistently observed positive outcomes. The dream of acupuncture becoming a simple and effective treatment has become a reality. Once you witness the results firsthand, you too will become a believer. Korean physician Jema Lee predicted the discovery of constitutional acupuncture 100 years ahead of his time, and Bisoma is a crucial component of Sasang four constitutions acupuncture.
