Cleft Points Are Used To Treat Acute Symptoms
Cleft Points With Harmonizing and Compulsive Points Combinations Increase Efficacy Significantly
By Brandon SJ Oh, L.Ac.
Last month, I explained the cleft points, which are belonged to the yin meridian, are used to cure hemostasis, and cleft points on the yang meridian are used to reduce acute pain, and the cleft points are useful for the cases needed for instant medical treatment.
In the clinic, the cleft points are used with the harmonizing acupoints to increase the efficacy of acupuncture treatment.
This month, I would like to introduce the acupuncture point combination to treat various symptoms by using the cleft points in case studies.
To help a patient with acute and unstoppable coughing due to bronchiectasis and the patient feel hard to breathe, and stuffy feeling in the chest, points combination will be as follows:
A patient on a Vitamin C megadose therapy recently had a stomach ulcer. Due to the stomach ulcer symptoms, the patient complained of stomach pain with a pinching sensation, loss of appetite, loose stool, and bloating stomach.
This case only yielded one possible combination of the cleft points and the harmonizing points because the ST34, a cleft point of the stomach, is located near the knee joints where all harmonizing points are located, is considered a harmonizing point well as the cleft point of the stomach.
Here are the point combinations to apply the cleft points and harmonizing points for various acute symptoms.
