There Are Two Different Ways to Apply the Technique: Using One Side of a Meridian and Both Sides of a Meridian.

Last month, I explained and stressed the importance of lower body function regarding the overall movement of humans. And a limited range of motions of the lower body severely affects the quality of life.
I will explain more about applying IRIN Technique this month. In general, unlike other acupuncture treatments, the treatment needles are not staying. The needles are needed to be removed as soon as a patient feels the acupuncture treatment effect. There are two different ways of applying the technique: using one side of a meridian and using both sides.
▲ How to Apply IRIN Technique – Using Only One Side
In general, most paralysis affects one side of the body. To enhance the balance of both sides of the body, use GB39 on the healthier side, which does not show symptoms, as axis points, and leave the acupuncture needle on the point. Then move to the other side and insert needles as Qi movement on meridians.
GB30, which affects strong sensation to the legs and works as a pivot point, needs to be stimulated, and the inserted needle on the GB30 should be removed. After removing the needle on GB30, no needles will be left on acupuncture points. Take UB36, which has a role as a valve of Qi movement on the meridian after GB30.
Next, move to UB37. UB40 will be used after the UB37, then UB57 and UB58. The acupuncture point is only used to reduce pain in the leg. If the patient complaints only paralysis without pain, do not use the point.
The next step will require you to use only one acupuncture point among UB62 or UB63, or UB65.
Once you decide to use one acupuncture point among UB62 or UB63, or UB65, K1 will be used and stimulated strongly. After the K1, then move to K2 and K7.
After removing the needle on K7, then GB39 on the other side will be only stimulated but stays. UB23, UB25, and UB27 will be used to then insert needles on the Heaven Taiji points and remove them.
Now there will be a needle staying on GB39 and remove it.
You must ensure that the IRIN technique does not require a needle to stay throughout a session but only on the axis point.
